If you’re a Mercedes-Benz owner in need of repairs you may be wondering if the automaker provides loaner cars. The answer is yes but there are some stipulations.
First you must be a Mercedes-Benz Customer Assistance Center (CAC) member. This is the automaker’s roadside assistance and customer service program. If you’re not a member you can sign up for Mercedes-Benz roadside assistance here.
Once you’re a member you’re eligible for a loaner car if your vehicle needs to be in the shop for more than 24 hours and the repairs are covered under your warranty or extended service agreement. If you’re not sure if your repairs are covered you can contact the CAC for more information.
If you do need a loaner car you have the option of renting one from a participating Mercedes-Benz dealership or using a courtesy car from the dealership where your vehicle is being repaired. The type of loaner car you’re entitled to will depend on your vehicle’s class. For example if you own a Mercedes-Benz S-Class you’ll be eligible for a Mercedes-Benz E-Class loaner car.
If you choose to rent a car from a participating dealership you’ll be responsible for the rental fee. The good news is that you can apply any unused portion of your Mercedes-Benz Maintenance Program towards the rental cost.
If you have any questions about loaner cars or the Mercedes-Benz Maintenance Program you can contact the CAC at 1-800-FOR-MERCEDES.
