# How Many Ants Would It Take To Lift A Car

A lot of people ask how many ants it would take to lift a car. The answer of course is a lot of ants. It would take a lot of ants to lift a car. But just how many ants would it take?

In order to answer this question we need to know a few things about ants. First we need to know how much an ant can lift. An ant can lift about 50 times its own weight. So if an ant weighs about 10 grams (0.035 ounces) it can lift about 500 grams (17.6 ounces).

Now we need to know the weight of a car. The weight of a car varies depending on the type of car. A small car like a Toyota Corolla weighs about 1000 kilograms (2200 pounds). A large car like a Cadillac Escalade weighs about 2500 kilograms (5500 pounds).

So how many ants would it take to lift a small car? It would take 20000 ants to lift a Toyota Corolla. And it would take 40000 ants to lift a Cadillac Escalade.

But that’s not the end of the story. The ants would also have to be very strong to lift a car. They would have to be able to lift the weight of the car steadily for a long period of time. And they would have to be able to do it without getting tired.

Unfortunately ants are not that strong. They can only lift the weight of their own body for a short period of time. And they get tired quickly. So it is not possible for ants to lift a car.

But there’s one more thing to consider. Ants live in colonies. And a colony of ants can be very strong. In fact a colony of ants can lift about 10 times the weight of an individual ant.

So if we have a colony of 20000 ants they could lift a Toyota Corolla. And if we have a colony of 40000 ants they could lift a Cadillac Escalade.

Of course we would still need to find a way to get the ants to lift the car. And that’s the hard part.
