If you’re looking to get sound from your car DVD player there are a few things you’ll need to do. First you’ll need to make sure that your DVD player is properly connected to your car stereo. You can do this by using an RCA adapter or a special car stereo connector. Once your DVD player is connected you’ll need to set the audio output to “DVD”.
Most DVD players have a menu that you can access by pressing the “Audio” or “Menu” button on the remote control. Once you’ve accessed the menu you should see an option that says “Audio Output” or “Audio Settings”. Select this option and then change the audio output to “DVD”.
If your DVD player doesn’t have an audio output option you’ll need to set the player to “Auto Play” mode. To do this press the “Setup” or “Menu” button on the remote control and look for an option that says “Auto Play”. Select this option and then insert a disc into the player. The disc should start playing automatically and the sound will come out of your car stereo.
If you’re still having trouble getting sound from your DVD player try using a different disc. Some discs are encoded with a Dolby Digital or DTS signal that your DVD player may not be able to decode. If this is the case you’ll need to use an external Dolby Digital or DTS decoder to get sound from the disc.
Finally if you’re still having trouble getting sound from your DVD player you may need to consult your car stereo’s owner’s manual. Many car stereos have a “DVD” input that you’ll need to activate in order to hear sound from a DVD player. Once you’ve activated the DVD input you should be able to hear sound from your DVD player.
