If you’re using your smartphone as a GPS device there are a couple things you can do to make sure it’s properly mounted in your car.
First you’ll want to invest in a good car mount. There are lots of different types available so you’ll want to choose one that’s compatible with your phone and your car. Some mounts attach to your car’s dashboard while others attach to the windshield or air vents.
Once you have a mount you’ll need to attach it to your car. Most mounts come with instructions so be sure to follow them carefully. Once the mount is in place you can attach your phone. Again be sure to follow the instructions that came with your mount.
Once your phone is mounted you’ll need to configure it for use as a GPS device. If you’re using Google Maps you can do this by opening the app and searching for your destination. Once you’ve found it tap the “Directions” button and then choose “Driving” as your transportation method.
If you’re using a different GPS app you’ll need to check the app’s documentation to see how to configure it for driving directions.
Once you’ve configured your app you’re ready to hit the road! Just be sure to keep an eye on your phone so you can see the turn-by-turn directions.
