There’s been a lot of speculation lately about whether or not Big Chief is building a new car. The reality is we don’t know for sure. But we can take a look at some of the evidence and make an educated guess.
The first piece of evidence is that Big Chief was spotted at the Mello Yello Drag Racing Series event in Charlotte North Carolina on March 28th. He was seen talking to Tony Schumacher who races for the U.S. Army Drag Racing Team.
This is significant because Schumacher races a Top Fuel dragster which is the same type of car that Big Chief races. It’s possible that they were just talking about racing in general but it’s also possible that Big Chief was asking for advice on building a new car.
The second piece of evidence is that Big Chief has been spotted at several junkyards lately. This could be for any number of reasons but it’s possible that he’s looking for parts for a new car.
The third and most convincing piece of evidence is that Big Chief’s current car the Crowmod is in need of some serious repairs. The engine blew up at an event in Missouri last year and the car has been in the shop ever since.
Big Chief has said in interviews that he’s not sure if he wants to build a new car or just fix the Crowmod. But given all the evidence it seems likely that he’s working on a new car. We’ll just have to wait and see what he comes up with!
