The car in the movie Christine was a 1958 Plymouth Fury. The movie was released in 1983 so the car would have been 25 years old at the time.

The car is actually a pretty significant part of the movie as it is sort of a character itself. The car is possessed by a demonic force and ends up terrorizing and killing people. So while the car is actually just a prop it is a pretty important one.

Interestingly the car that was used in the movie was not actually a real 1958 Plymouth Fury. It was a replica that was made to look like one. This was because the movie’s budget couldn’t afford to buy an actual Fury which would have been quite expensive.

The replica Fury was created by famed Hollywood car customizer George Barris. Barris is responsible for creating some of the most iconic cars in movie history including the Batmobile and the Munster’s Koach.

So while the car in Christine may not have been an actual Fury it was still a pretty cool one.
