Around 3:00 p.m. on March 2 2020 33-year-old NFL quarterback Peyton Manning was involved in a minor car accident in Denver Colorado. Manning was not injured and the other driver involved in the accident was cited for failing to yield the right of way.

Manning’s car was a black Audi SUV and he was driving in the westbound lane of Interstate 25 when the other driver a man in his early 20s pulled out in front of him from a side street. Manning swerved to avoid the man’s car but still sideswiped it. The Audi’s right front tire was damaged and had to be replaced.

The other driver was cited for failure to yield the right of way and police say they do not suspect any alcohol or drug use was involved in the accident.

This is not the first time Manning has been involved in a car accident. In 2006 his SUV was rear-ended by a drunk driver while he was stopped at a traffic light in Nashville Tennessee. The driver 21-year-old Mario Tabraue was later convicted of DUI and sentenced to four months in jail.

Tabraue told police at the time that he didn’t see Manning’s SUV stopped at the light because the sun was in his eyes. He also said he had been drinking earlier in the day.
