Assuming you are referring to the game Granny the car battery can be found in the study on the second floor. It is located on the desk next to the computer.
If the player failed to find the car battery in the study and goes downstairs there is a small chance that Granny will have moved it to the living room next to the TV. However it is more likely that she will have moved it back to the study.
The car battery is an essential part of the game as it is used to open the garage door and escape. Without it the player will be forced to restart the game from the beginning.
