On June 13 2009 aspiring country musician Vince Carter died in a horrific car accident. He was only 21 years old. The crash occurred on a rural road in Texas and Vince was the only occupant of the vehicle.
Vince had been on his way to a gig in Austin when the accident happened. He had left his home in Fort Worth early that morning and was driving his pickup truck. For unknown reasons Vince lost control of the truck and it careened off the road hitting a tree. The impact of the crash was so severe that Vince was killed instantly.
His parents were devastated by the news of his death. In a statement released to the media they said “Vince was a gifted musician with a bright future ahead of him. We are all heartbroken by this tragedy.”
Vince’s friends and fellow bandmates also expressed their grief at his untimely death. “Vince was an amazing guy and an incredible musician” said one friend. “I can’t believe he’s gone.”
